Vathi

Vathi is the harbour district of the capital: the seafront, Pythagoras Square, the municipal gardens and the streets rising behind them towards Ano Vathi. Property here is mostly apartments and older town houses, plus commercial units on the front — the part of Samos where a buyer can hold something that produces income all year rather than only in summer. Buildings in the old quarter fall under the protected traditional settlement regime, which restricts facade changes and additions.
