Kamara is an inland village about 5 km west of Samos Town, at roughly 140 m, with the beaches of Mourtia, Megali Lakka and Mikri Lakka below it to the west and the monastery of Agia Zoni just to the south. It has grown steadily rather than emptied — one of the few smaller Samian villages whose population has risen at every census since the 1980s — which makes it a genuine year-round address ten minutes from the capital. Typical stock is family houses on their own plots, older dwellings for restoration and agricultural land on the surrounding slopes. Outside the settlement boundary the permitted floor area depends on plot size and road frontage under the Samos ZOE zoning, and we calculate the real figure for every plot we offer.
