Πυθαγόρειο

Pythagorio is the tourist and yachting centre of southern Samos, built over the ancient city and listed by UNESCO together with the Heraion — the Eupalinos aqueduct tunnel and the ancient harbour mole are both here. The airport is about 4 km away and the marina is in the village itself, which makes it the strongest holiday-home and rental-yield market on the island. Property ranges from apartments near the waterfront to villas on the slopes towards Potokaki. The archaeological service has a say over much of this area: excavation clearance can be required before a permit, and we establish that at the outset rather than after the deposit.
